Before the development of what is now Whistler Village, Creekside is home to the original ski resort and town centre when Whistler Mountain first opened to the public back in 1966—what is now Whistler Village at the time was literally a garbage dump! Located just 10-minutes south of the main village on the Sea to Sky Highway, Creekside is conveniently located next to a variety of shops, restaurants and even Whistler’s only gas station! Across the highway is home to the famous Nita Lake Lodge and local train station, as well as some other restaurants such as Creekbread, Red Door, Southside Deli and Rolands. Beside Whistler Creek there are number of access points to the Valley Trail, which will then connect you to parks and lakes throughout Whistler. Summer months boom at Alpha Lake Park offering a small beach, grassy area, BBQ’s, tennis courts & even playgrounds. And, with local transit arriving every 15-minutes, you are guaranteed transportation throughout town.

The base of Whistler Creekside consists of:

  • Three levels of extensive underground parking for skiers
  • Surface parking for business access
  • Variety of shops (ex: Starbucks, Grocery Store, Scotia Bank, Ski Rentals, Real Estate Office, Liquor Store, Furniture/Home Decor Store, etc.)

Through the years Creekside has experienced intense development, now offering an array of housing options like town-homes, condominiums, duplexes and even timeshares all with ski in/out access!

  • Legends & Evolution — Quarter-share buildings
  • First Tracks Lodge — Large luxury condominiums
  • Winding up on Gondola Way, you will find older townhomes as well as some nice view homes overlooking the valley to the South.

Local Review

Dave Wilson who owns a home up at Bear Creek on Gondola Way gives his take on what it's like to live in Whistler Creekside:

"We wanted a home in Whistler that had that original Whistler feel. Since Whistler Creekside was the original hub of Whistler back in 60s and 70s we really felt that we wanted to be a part of that. Now that Creekside Village is a reality, it has retained the same feel but with some great new amenities to go along with it. Starbucks, a fantastic little grocery store at Creekside Market, Scotiabank, plus much more. And don't even get me started on how awesome it is to kick back at Dusty's after skiing out on the Dave Murray Downhill on a warm spring day. That's the icing on the cake!"
