If you're looking for maximum revenue potential, look no further than Whistler Village! It's hard to believe that back in the 1970s this used to be the location of the original town dump. This European inspired Village is now the heart of the town consisting of: shops, restaurants, nightclubs, hotels and of course Whistler Blackcomb Mountain!
Homes in this area consists of:
- Phase 2 restricted "hotel condos"
- Phase 1 unrestricted townhomes and condos
- Quarter-share townhomes at Montebello
- The back side of Town Plaza in Eagle Lodge & Bear Lodge
- Valhalla & Stony Creek (Sunpath, Lagoons, North Star) but not on the highway side of those complexes
With extravagant views of Whistler Mountain and the Village Stroll, these properties cater to the short-term visitor & tourist who may elect to rent your condo. Did we mention that everything is within walking distance? That's correct. You are steps away from all amenities and in truth, that is the best way to explore the main village!
Paul Dhaliwal has owned a 2 bedroom condo in Bear Lodge at Town Plaza for 6 years and gives his take on life in Whistler Village:
If you're a weekender like I am then spending time in your Whistler Village condo is wonderful. It is for us. We're pretty outdoorsy and we come up to Whistler to be up on the mountain skiing and snowboarding in the winter and then we're out at Lost Lake or in the Whistler Bike Park in the summer. The constant action of the crowds in the Village are what drew us to the place. We wanted to be a part of that and as our kids have gotten older they enjoy being able to head out the door and into the Village on their own. Spending longer than a weekend in your condo in Whistler Village takes a bit of a toll though. The downside is that it can be a bit noisy at night. We're ok with that though - being in the thick of it all is also a blessing for us.
